Black is A Blessing: Lebron James Named First Active NBA Player To Earn $1 Billion

AFTER HIS RECENT STARRING ROLL IN SPACE JAM: A NEW LEGACY, WHICH CURRENTLY HOLDS THE NUMBER ONE POSITION AT THE BOX OFFICE, LEBRON JAMES HAS OFFICIALLY BECOME THE FIRST ACTIVE NBA PLAYER TO EARN $1 BILLION DOLLARS ACCORDING TO SPORTICO.

Grossing approximately $31.7 million dollars within its first week in theaters according to Associate Press. James is also actually the sixth athlete globally to reach the $1 billion dollar mark, which includes household star athletes like Floyd Mayweather, Tiger Woods, Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Roger Federer. earned $330 million from his NBA salary. His endorsements with AT&T, Beats, Blaze Pizza, GMC, PepsiCo, Rimowa and Walmart bring in over $100 million annually alone. Not to mention his lifetime deal with Nike which he signed back in 2016 that brings in $30 million annually.

Needless to say James is undoubtably blessed both with his amazing talent and spirit on and off the court, as well as what it has earned him. Luckily for many, he is definitely an individual who receives abundantly and gives just as abundantly back to the community.

LeBron has also been a supporter of the well known Boys and Girls Club of America, which provide voluntary after-school programs for young people, to whom he donated $2.5m in 2010.

After founding the Lebron James Family Foundation in 2018 the baller has yet to cease his efforts in helping the less fortunate within his community. We know James would not be one to simply covet and sit on his wealth, but be a man of action and give back. We're super happy to congratulate him on his efforts on and off the Los Angeles court.

LeBron James' foundation is also a major contributor to ONExONE and the Children's Defense Fund, both of whom provide food, water, care and education to children in America and abroad.

Here's what some of his supporters had to say in celebration of the news!
